Volleyball Recap: Casa Roble's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Casa Roble was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Foothill last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rams took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Union Mine Diamondbacks on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2015.

Casa Roble started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-18, 25-18, 25-13.

Macy Kregoski was the offensive standout of the match as she had 11 digs. Those 11 digs gave her a new career-high.

Having lost for the first time this season, Casa Roble fell to 2-1. As for Union Mine, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Casa Roble will take on Woodland at 6:30 p.m. on the 4th. As for Union Mine, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Ponderosa on the 28th.
