Softball Preview: Llano Yellowjackets vs. Brady Bulldogs
Llano is 5-0 against Brady since February of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. Skylar Brown was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Brown has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts every time she's pitched this season. Brown was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Llano got a massive performance out of Gwyn Burnett, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Jayme Duroy was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Brady fell victim to a tough 7-1 defeat at the hands of Ingram Moore on Friday.
Llano is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season. As for Brady, their loss dropped their record down to 3-20.
