Baseball Recap: Park Rangers vs. Laurel Locomotives
Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 8-4 to the Laurel Locomotives.
Ben Cipriani was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Cipriani was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.
Cipriani wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Weston Vincent, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Coen Braham also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Park's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Laurel, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
While Park had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
