Bishop O'Dowd was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They won by a set and slipped past the Castro Valley Trojans 3-2. That's more bragging rights for the Dragons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (105-93) Bishop O'Dowd actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 13-25, 15-25, 25-19, 15-13.

Despite the loss, Castro Valley still got an impressive performance from Courtney Seiji, who had 13 digs and four assists.

The victory got Bishop O'Dowd back to even at 8-8. As for Castro Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-7.

Bishop O'Dowd wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Alameda on the 24th. As for Castro Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Encinal on the 25th.
