Softball Recap: Ashland Comes Up Short

Ashland fell victim to Falkner and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 18-0 to the Eagles. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Ashland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyra Brooks, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases. Madyson Sanford was another, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base.

Ashland's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Falkner, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-12.

Ashland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Byers on the 1st. As for Falkner, they have also already played their next match, an 18-6 defeat against Biggersville on the 29th.
