Volleyball Game Preview: North Star Cougars vs. Richland Rams + How To Watch

The North Star Cougars will face off against the Richland Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

North Star took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They skirted past Windber 3-2. The win was some much needed relief for the Cougars as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day North Star got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 23-25, 25-18, 15-25, 17-15.

Meanwhile, Richland was able to grind out a solid victory over Forest Hills on Thursday, taking the game 3-1. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Rangers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Richland had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-17, 25-22, 25-20.

North Star's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Richland, their win bumped their record up to 27-3-2.
