Taeshon Martin and Co. Win 24th in a Row

Mount Airy picked up their 24th consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Taeshon Martin. Martin was dynamite, rushing for 187 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries. Martin is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 116 every time he's taken the field this season.

If the past is any indication, Martin could be in store for another big game when he takes on Elkin on Thursday. When Martin last faced the Buckin' Elks back in October of 2023, he rushed for 117 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.

A Season-Best Effort from Kinston Crater Leads Starmount over Carrboro

Starmount was led to victory by Kinston Crater, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Crater rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in November of 2023.

The victory made it two in a row for Starmount and bumps their season record up to 6-1. Crater and Starmount will play host again on Friday to welcome East Wilkes, where kickoff is scheduled at 7:00 p.m.
