Baseball Recap: Haslett Vikings vs. Eaton Rapids Greyhounds
Haslett unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Eaton Rapids Greyhounds on Friday, falling 14-7. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.
Asher Fackler was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Fackler was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
Fackler wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Bewersdorff, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
The victory made it two in a row for Eaton Rapids and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Coming up, Haslett will head out to face off against St. Johns at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eaton Rapids, they will square off against Ionia at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
