Baseball Recap: Miller Comes Up Short

Miller fell victim to Los Fresnos and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 16-0 to the Falcons. The Buccaneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Miller saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Salazar, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Salazar is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season.

Miller now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Los Fresnos, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Miller will look to defend their home field on Friday against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial at 9:00 a.m. The Wolverines' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Buccaneers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Los Fresnos, they will face off against San Diego at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
