Baseball Game Preview: Glasgow Scotties vs. Green County Dragons

The Glasgow Scotties will venture away from home to square off against the Green County Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Glasgow will be strutting in after a victory while Green County will be coming in after a loss.

While Glasgow's win against Metcalfe County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Glasgow had just enough and edged out Metcalfe County 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Scotties have posted since April 27, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Josiah Driver, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Garett Shields also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Green County's offense. They came up short against Bethlehem on Monday, falling 11-0. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Green County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Houk, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Green County now has a losing record of 1-2-2. As for Glasgow, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5-1.

Glasgow suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Green County when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can Glasgow avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
