Volleyball Game Preview: West Wolfpack vs. Laguna Creek Cardinals

After both having extra time off, the West Wolfpack and the Laguna Creek Cardinals will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as West comes in on eight and Laguna Creek on seven.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times West and Tracy have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Wolfpack put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 win.

West walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-17, 25-13, 25-21.

Laguna Creek had won ten straight home games and Justin Purba did his part to make it 11 on Thursday. The Cardinals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Pleasant Grove for which the team can thank Purba, who had 40 digs. He has been hot, having posted 13 or more digs the last five times he's played.

Laguna Creek had to fight for the win as two sets went to 30 points or more. The match finished with set scores of 30-32, 25-20, 25-22, 29-31, 15-11.

West's record is now 15-6. As for Laguna Creek, their record now sits at 22-4.
