Softball Recap: Arab Takes a Loss

Arab and Scottsboro squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Arab had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 6-5. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost nine in a row.

Lily Livingston made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Mattie Couch was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Arab's defeat dropped their record down to 12-20-1. As for Scottsboro, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 23-13.

Arab didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-3 victory against Fairview on the 26th. As for Scottsboro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 16-0 win against Guntersville on the 26th.
