Holcomb lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Gideon, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's contest. The Hornets put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 11-2 victory on Monday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Hornets' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

The win got Holcomb back to even at 2-2.

Holcomb has already played their next matchup, an 11-0 victory against Campbell on the 24th. As for Gideon, they will venture away from home to take on Twin Rivers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
