Football Recap: Cross Keys Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Cross Keys was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 36-6 defeat at the hands of the Riverside Military Academy Eagles.

JJ Blackwell was nothing short of spectacular for Riverside Military Academy: he rushed for 66 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 111 yards and three touchdowns on only six passes. Those 111 passing yards gave Blackwell a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jacques Chiller, who rushed for 125 yards and one TD on only ten carries.

Cross Keys' loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Cross Keys will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Rock Springs Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Riverside Military Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Lanier Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
