Basketball Game Preview: Greece Olympia Spartans vs. Batavia Blue Devils

Greece Olympia hasn't had much luck against Batavia recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Greece Olympia Spartans will welcome the Batavia Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Greece Olympia came up short against Wellsville on Monday, falling 78-55. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 546th, while the Lions are ranked 128th).

Meanwhile, Batavia won against Notre Dame on Saturday with 63 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Batavia beat Notre Dame Academy by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 63-53. The win was familiar territory for the Blue Devils who have now won three matches in a row.

Greece Olympia's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Batavia, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.
