Basketball Recap: Essex Comes Up Short

Essex was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 44-31 to the Westmoreland Eagles. The game marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Essex's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Westmoreland, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Essex will square off against Rappahannock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Westmoreland, they and Colonial Beach will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played.
