After only two runs in their last match, Hastings made sure to put some runs up on the board against Elkhorn on Saturday. The Tigers walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Antlers. With that win, the Tigers brought their scoring average up to 6.7 runs per game.

Tucker Synek looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Adam Rutt, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Chance Vertin also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Hastings now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Elkhorn, they dropped their record down to 5-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Hastings has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Platteview on the 7th. As for Elkhorn, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-5 win against Elkhorn North on the 5th.
