Baseball Recap: Arlington Sets Scoring Season-High Against Clarkstown North

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arlington). They put the hurt on the Clarkstown North Rams with a sharp 16-3 win on Saturday. The Admirals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rams, too.

Karl Blabac looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, DJ Mulvany was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Arlington is undefeated when Mulvany posts two or more runs, but 4-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Mackin, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Arlington kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clarkstown North only managed four hits.

Arlington's record now sits at 7-8. As for Clarkstown North, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Arlington has already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Suffern on the 10th. Clarkstown North has also already played their next contest (against Rye), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
