After a string of four wins, Camden Hills's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to the Brewer Witches 54-49. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Windjammers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-47 back in December of 2024.

Brewer's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Steven Youngs led the charge by going 7 for 12 en route to 20 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Owen Fullerton, who posted 12 points and seven rebounds.

Camden Hills' loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Brewer, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.

Camden Hills and Brewer should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Maine Rankings. Camden Hills will face off against Lawrence at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday up 77 places (35 vs. 112). Meanwhile, Brewer (ranked 16th) will meet Skowhegan (ranked 115th) at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th.
