St. Bernard dropped their record down to 17-6 on Thursday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Hoopa Valley Warriors, falling 9-3. Surprisingly, this marked the Crusaders' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
T.C. Rinker put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

He struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Romero is becoming a predictor of Hoopa Valley's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is undefeated (and 9-10 when he doesn't). Romero was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, Allen Kane was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Hoopa Valley is 6-1 when Kane posts three or more hits, but 7-9 otherwise.
