Soccer Game Preview: Auburn vs. Auburn Riverside

Auburn is 1-9 against Auburn Riverside since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Trojans will head out to square off against the Ravens at 7:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Auburn's offense. They lost 5-0 to Stadium on Tuesday. Auburn have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Auburn Riverside has been on a difficult stretch since their win on March 25. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mt. Rainier on Tuesday.

Auburn Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-4. As for Auburn, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8-2.

Auburn came up short against Auburn Riverside in their previous matchup back in March, falling 2-0. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
