Analy is 1-9 against Cardinal Newman since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, Analy turned things around against Pinole Valley on Thursday. They came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 8-4.

Sophia Pellini spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on ten hits.

At the plate, Jordyn Johnsen was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Izzie Kunimune, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double.

Cardinal Newman hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
