Basketball Game Preview: Mesa Jackrabbits vs. Mountain View Toros

The Mesa Jackrabbits will face off against the Mountain View Toros at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Mesa is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Red Mountain just ended the team's nine-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 54-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mountain Lions. The game marked the Jackrabbits' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Mountain View was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Dobson 65-36. The Toros have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Mountain View has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.3 points. As for Mesa, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 15-5.

Mesa didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Mountain View in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 44-38 victory.
