Football Recap: Silverado Skyhawks vs. Palo Verde Panthers
Silverado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 35-22 to the Palo Verde Panthers. The Skyhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.
Loss or not, Silverado got some senior leadership from D'Angelo Hagans and Rayden Inong. Hagans gained 124 total yards and two touchdowns, while Inong rushed for 69 yards and a touchdown. Hagans also set a new season high mark in receiving yards with 108.
Silverado's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Palo Verde, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Silverado will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while.
