Basketball Recap: Washington-Marion Comes Up Short

Washington-Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-43 heartbreaker at the hands of the Kinder Yellowjackets. While losing is never fun, the Charging Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 102nd).

Washington-Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Kinder, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-5.

Washington-Marion will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Plainview at 5:30 p.m. Kinder has already played their next game (against St. Louis Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
