Football Recap: Wheatland Takes a Loss

Wheatland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tongue River Eagles. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Wheatland's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Tongue River, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Looking ahead, Wheatland will welcome Moorcroft at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Wolves' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Tongue River, they will head out on the road to square off against Big Horn at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests.
