The Middletown Islanders will take on the North Smithfield Northmen at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Middletown is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: North Providence, who was ranked 11th at the time (Middletown was ranked 15th). The Islanders fell 2-0 to the Cougars on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, North Smithfield fell victim to Prout and their airtight defense on Monday. They came up short against the Crusaders, falling 4-0.

Middletown's loss dropped their record down to 10-3-2. As for North Smithfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11-2.
