Seth Oakes put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in May of 2024 on Saturday. He struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Oakes' effort led Montezuma-Cortez over Alamosa and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
