Baseball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Wins Going Away Against Cornersville

Mt. Pleasant's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They put the hurt on the Cornersville Bulldogs with a sharp 12-2 victory. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 18, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Hunter Holt and Hunter Brown were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Holt struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Meanwhile, Brown struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. At the plate, Holt scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Brown scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Mt. Pleasant is 3-1 when Holt posts two or more runs, but 1-2 otherwise.
