Basketball Recap: Pomeroy Extends Winning Streak to Two

Pomeroy won the last time they faced Dayton, and Jacob Reisinger did his part to make sure it happened again. The Pomeroy Pirates strolled past the Dayton Bulldogs with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 51-37 thanks in part to Reisinger, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 20 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jett Slusser, who posted three points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Slusser is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season.

The win made it two in a row for Pomeroy and bumps their season record up to 3-4. As for Dayton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.

Pomeroy will venture away from home to take on Liberty Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Dayton, they will welcome Riverside Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
