Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Evans). They took their matchup on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 78-15 victory over the Augusta Christian Lions. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 25 points or more this season.

Evans found their leader in sophomore Chabria Tate, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 11 rebounds. The match was Tate's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimariya Hinton, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds.

Evans was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Augusta Christian only posted five.

Despite the defeat, Augusta Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Taylor Booker scored four points in addition to ten rebounds. Booker is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last four games she's played. Savannah Witt was another key player, posting two points.

The win (which was Evans' third in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Those victories were due in large part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.0 points per game. As for Augusta Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Evans will welcome Lincoln County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Evans knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Lincoln County likes a good challenge.
