Softball Recap: New Oxford Wins Going Away Against Bermudian Springs

While New Oxford put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Bermudian Springs. The New Oxford Colonials were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over the Bermudian Springs Eagles. The Colonials have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

The team relied heavily on Brooklyn Horick, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Ellie Diehl, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

The victory made it two in a row for New Oxford and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Bermudian Springs, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, New Oxford will face off against Carlisle at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Bermudian Springs, they will take on Big Spring at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
