Football Recap: Kamiak Takes a Loss

If Kamiak was feeling good fresh off their 49-0 takedown of Cascade last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights were beaten by the Lake Stevens Vikings 49-6 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 177th, while the Vikings are ranked second).

Despite the loss, Kamiak still got an impressive performance from Jayden Harris, who rushed for 182 yards and one TD. Harris' rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 101 rushing yards.

Kamiak's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Lake Stevens, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Kamiak will face off against rival Glacier Peak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lake Stevens is set to challenge their familiar foe Arlington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
