Softball Recap: Casey-Westfield Warriors vs. Mattoon Greenwave
Casey-Westfield stacked a 19th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Mattoon Greenwave a 15-0 shutout. The win was familiar territory for Casey-Westfield who now have three in a row.
Megan Cribelar was incredible, going 2-for-3 with six RBI, two triples, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Allyson Truelove, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Casey-Westfield's victory bumped their record up to 32-2. As for Mattoon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-16.
Casey-Westfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mattoon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Salem at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
