Softball Recap: Palisades Finds Home Field Redemption Against Berry

There's no place like home for Palisades, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the Berry Cardinals 16-6 on Thursday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Pumas' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Sanaa Dorsey was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with seven RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. Gracie Goodrich was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one double.

Dorsey wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Palisades kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Palisades' record is now 6-7. As for Berry, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Looking ahead, Palisades will head out on the road to face off against Porter Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Berry, they will host South Mecklenburg at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Berry's pitchers better be ready for this one: South Mecklenburg has averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
