Pitman came tearing into Saturday's game with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Central Catholic Raiders with points to spare, taking the game 68-51. Given the Pride's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Raiders are ranked 407th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Central Catholic's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Collin Benniger, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amari Waterford, who had 11 points.

Pitman pushed their record up to 16-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Central Catholic, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pitman will host Modesto at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pitman is facing Modesto at the right time seeing as Modesto is stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Central Catholic, they will challenge Sierra at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Central Catholic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.4 points per game this season.
