NCSSM: Morganton is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 37th straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They took a blow against Mountain Heritage, falling 74-15. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 586th, while the Cougars are ranked 75th).

Mountain Heritage has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season. As for NCSSM: Morganton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-19.
