Softball Recap: Oak Mountain Takes a Loss

Oak Mountain's tournament run continued when they took on West Blocton on Friday. The Oak Mountain Eagles fell 5-2 to the West Blocton Tigers.

Oak Mountain saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bella Williams, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Sheridan Andrews also deserves some recognition as she stolen her first stolen base of the season.

Oak Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for West Blocton, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Oak Mountain wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Moody on the 14th. As for West Blocton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-3 victory against Briarwood Christian on the 18th.
