Baseball Recap: Hitchcock Comes Up Short

Hitchcock suffered their closest loss since March 9, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of the Fort Bend Dulles Vikings by a score of 6-4. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hitchcock saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kolten Cantrell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Cantrell has posted since back in February of 2024.

Hitchcock's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Fort Bend Dulles, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Hitchcock wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 7-0 loss against Manvel on the 27th. As for Fort Bend Dulles, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 win against Cypress Lakes on the 28th.
