Heritage has gone a perfect 10-0 against Millbrook recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Huskies will host the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Heritage is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
Heritage made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Rolesville, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Huskies were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Rams on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Huskies considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Emily Claudio made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three doubles, and one run.
In other batting news, Janiah Vargas was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Lydia Bollinger was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Heritage always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Millbrook's offense. They came up short against Wake Forest on Wednesday, falling 10-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost seven in a row.
Heritage now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Millbrook, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 7-6.
Millbrook's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Heritage has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.9 hits per game. It's a different story for Millbrook, though, as they've been averaging 9.1 hits. Given Heritage's sizable advantage in that area, the Wildcats will need to find a way to close that gap.
Heritage came out on top in a nail-biter against Millbrook when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 11-10. Do the Huskies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
