Volleyball Game Preview: Kennedy Cougars vs. Franklin Wildcats

The Kennedy Cougars will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against the Franklin Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Kennedy is leaving town to face Franklin after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. The Cougars came up short against Laguna Creek on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Cougars have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

While Kennedy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Laguna Creek's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-21, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Franklin had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on Rosemont with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-14, 25-17.

Kennedy beat Franklin 3-1 in their previous meeting back in September of 2019. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
