Basketball Recap: Monticello Takes a Loss

Monticello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the Star City Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 48-34 back in January.

Monticello's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Star City, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-14 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monticello will face off against Warren at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Star City, they will take on Hamburg at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
