St. Pius X won the last time they faced Belen and things went their way on Monday too. The Sartans came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 9-6.

The team relied heavily on Jordan Chavez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Daniella Romero also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Chavez wasn't the only one making solid contact: St. Pius X kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matches.

St. Pius X's record now sits at 7-12. As for Belen, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-10.

St. Pius X has already played their next game, a 19-9 win against Valencia on the 8th. As for Belen, they will take on Grants at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
