After a string of three wins, Kermit's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Tornillo Coyotes by a score of 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Yellow Jackets have suffered against the Coyotes since March 30, 2021.

Kermit saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luis Alvarez, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Alvarez has posted since back in March of 2024. Evan Gomez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Kermit's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Tornillo, their record is now 4-11.

Coincidentally, Kermit and Tornillo will both be playing Anthony the next time they take the field. Tornillo will head out to face Anthony at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Kermit will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
