 The Centennial Hawks can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Tuesday. They strolled past Mayfield with  points to spare, taking the game  60-46. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Centennial also won the last time the pair played  back in January.
  Brady Rewalt had a dynamite game for Centennial,  scoring 24 points along with two  steals. Another player making a difference was  Julian Martinez, who  scored six points along with six  rebounds.
 The  win  got Centennial back to even at 11-11. As for Mayfield, they have  not been sharp recently as the team has  lost 11 of their last 12 matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record  this season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centennial will  challenge Gadsden at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Hopefully Centennial focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday. As for Mayfield, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Alamogordo at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Mayfield is coming into the  game with four straight  losses on the road,  meaning Alamogordo will have to defend against a  squad hungry for a  win.
