Basketball Game Preview: Franklin County Rebels vs. Marshall County Tigers

The Franklin County Rebels will face off against the Marshall County Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin County will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Franklin County proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 29) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Tullahoma 48-45.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Marshall County took on Lawrence County on Tuesday. Marshall County fell 47-35 to Lawrence County. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Franklin County will have to contain Mashawna Ridley as she made an impact in Marshall County's last game. She posted 18 points. Ridley continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Franklin County pushed their record up to 16-12 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.6 points over those games. As for Marshall County, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.

Franklin County was able to grind out a solid victory over Marshall County when the teams last played two weeks ago, winning 45-34. Will Franklin County repeat their success, or does Marshall County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
