Baseball Recap: East Jordan Red Devils vs. Central Lake Trojans

East Jordan never let their opponents score on Friday. Everything went their way against the Central Lake Trojans as they made off with a 27-0 victory. The Red Devils have beaten the Trojans the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Trojans has come to flipping the script.

Korbyn Russell and Elijah Burns were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Russell tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Burns pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. At the plate, Russell got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four runs and one stolen base, while Burns got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

East Jordan's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Central Lake, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Coming up, East Jordan will head out on the road to challenge Bellaire at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Central Lake, they will host Inland Lakes at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight.
