Football Recap: Valencia Comes Up Short + How To Watch

While it was Valencia who put the first points on the board on Friday, it was Gahr who put up more. The Tigers took a 33-14 bruising from the Gladiators. The game was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Tigers couldn't quite close it out.

Although Valencia took the loss, they still got scores from Louis Galvan and Andrew Mendez.

Gahr's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Roman Acosta, who rushed for 102 yards and a pair of scores on only 11 carries, and also threw for 206 yards and one TD on only 17 passes. De'Mir Cunningham was Acosta's top target, picking up 23 receiving yards.

Valencia is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for Gahr, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valencia will welcome Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Tigers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Gahr, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Bellflower at 7:00 p.m.
