Staley waltzed into their matchup on Monday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They had just enough and edged out the Raymore-Peculiar Panthers 4-2. Four seems to be a good number for the Falcons as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Laken Kelley looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had over his last four games.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Easton Phillippe, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Evan Abbott, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Staley's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Raymore-Peculiar, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11.

Looking ahead, Staley will host Lee's Summit at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Raymore-Peculiar, they will take on Blue Springs at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
