Volleyball Game Preview: Julian Eagles vs. Borrego Springs Rams

The Julian Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Borrego Springs Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Julian came up short against West Shores on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Eagles have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Julian was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-12, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Borrego Springs got the win against Calexico Mission on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Borrego Springs was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-15, 25-12.

Borrego Springs' victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 2-16. As for Julian, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.

Everything went Julian's way against Borrego Springs when the teams last played back in September, as Julian made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
